Last month a friend in the Okanagan gave us a bunch of peaches from their tree. Most of them were so ripe they had to be frozen immediately. Usually my freezer is a black hole, what goes in never comes out - edible anyway. I couldn't let these awesome peaches go to waste! I don't have (much of) a sweet tooth, so I wanted to try making something other than cobbler or jam. The result is my very first attempt at canning. It's been a quick and rewarding experience. Can't wait to give the hot sauce a try.
